She started shooting in December 2021 in less than 3 years she won a medal at the Paralympics. Mona achieved this feat in the women’s 10 M air rifle event scoring 228.7 in the final to win the medal in very first Paralympic.

In 2016 she turned her attention to Para athletics. She made her estate debut in the throw event and won the gold medal in this event.
The path to becoming a para-athlete
Mona first tried her hands at the shot put, discus, javelin throw, and powerlifting. Through this sport the state level tournament. She also performed brilliantly in sitting volleyball. As a captain, she won the gold medal for Rajasthan in the first national sitting volleyball championship for women in 2019.
In December 2021 Mona decided to pursue an individual sport and choose rifle shooting. She was shocked as soon as she started shooting mona won the National Silver Medal in 2022 in 2023 she won a bronze medal in the mixed team event at her first international World Cup.

Mona was first selected for the 2023 WSPS World Cup in Osijek, Croatia. Here she won a bronze medal. After winning a medal in the first attempt, she never looked back. She represented India in the 2022 Asian Para Games and the 2023 WSPS Championship in Lima.
She will compete in the women’s 10m air rifle SH1, women’s 50m rifle 3 positions SH1 and mixed 50m rifle prone SH1 events at the Paris Paralympics. The SH1 class is for riflemen who have a disability to their lower limbs, such as amputation or paralysis, but must be able to hold their gun without difficulty and shoot from a standing or sitting position.
