IPL 2024 Champion: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) clinched the IPL 2024 title, marking their third IPL championship win. They defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a thrilling final match held on May 26, 2024, at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Under the leadership of captain Shreyas Iyer, KKR showcased impressive skills, particularly in bowling. Mitchell Starc emerged as the standout player, delivering a remarkable performance that earned him the Man of the Match award. KKR’s bowlers successfully contained SRH to a low total of 113 runs.

Qualifier 1: Kolkata Knight Riders defeated the in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets in Qualifier 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday to reach the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Kolkata Knight Riders topped the points table, earning 20 points from their 14 matches.

Eliminator: Rajasthan Royals secured a 4-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore by successfully chasing a target of 173 runs. This win advances RR to the second eliminator against SRH on Friday, marking the end of RCB’s campaign in this IPL season. Key contributions from Riyan Parag (36) and Shimron Hetmyer (26) were instrumental in RR’s successful chase.

Qualifier 2: Sunrisers Hyderabad secured an impressive 36-run victory over Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, advancing to their third IPL final. Despite losing the toss and being put in to bat, SRH posted a total of 175/9 in their 20 overs, thanks to a strong batting display. Sunrisers Hyderabad is now set to face Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2024 final at the same venue on 26th May, 2024.
